# Shining in the Darkness: sold-price estimates (md)

Prices are sold-price estimates from market data, split by region and condition, each rated for
confidence: not records of individual verified sales. "Sealed" reports listing claims, never verified factory authenticity.
They're a guide, not an offer: a game is worth what someone pays for it, and shops, markets and local sales can be higher or
lower. Condition, photos and the seller's reputation move a price within the range (p25 to p75).
With only 2 sales that disagree 3 times or more ("2 sales far apart"), p25 and p75 are those two sales and the median is
never their average: a sale far off what the game's other prices predict is set aside, otherwise the middle of the two
leans on that prediction.
A boxed (CIB) price spans the box's condition: p25 ≈ a worn box (tears, stickers, crushing), median = typical, p75 and up ≈ an
excellent box. The box here is a plastic case (pal), a plastic case (ntscj).

| region | tier | median | p25 to p75 | n | confidence |
|--------|------|--------|---------|---|------------|
| ntsc | cib | $48 | $41 to $55 | 53 | high |
| ntsc | loose | $20 | $17 to $20 | 15 | high |
| ntsc | sealed | $400 | $199 to $568 | 11 | good |
| ntscj | cib | $19 | $11 to $20 | 23 | high |
| ntscj | loose | $5 | $4 to $6 | 4 | guess |
| pal | cib | $65 | $48 to $76 | 30 | high |
| pal | loose | $25 | $23 to $29 | 6 | good |
